The Sixth Commandment – Part 3

the sixth commandment

Good Day to each of you reading this column on the Sixth Commandment.

Doom and Gloom, Doom and Gloom here in the USA with mass murders falling upon this past weekend.

Folks, we are under siege by Satan and his forces and we are seeing the birth pangs of the earth as well as many other things occurring before his return.

I hope you had a chance to re-read my last lesson which included the light and the darkness of the world. The darkness or sin of this world will disappear, and the light will come upon us when we least expect it—No one knows when the triumphant return of the King will appear, but we are reminded in Matthew 24: 36-51 to be watchful for the return.

I must ask each of you, ARE YOU READY? Satan and his followers are enjoying their folly on earth and are creating havoc everywhere, wait, do you see the Light at the end of the tunnel? Our prayers will be heard and answered for the King cometh and the light will overtake the darkness and Satan will be placed in the pit. Turn with me to Romans 14: (FF) As it is written: I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, SO THAT EVERY KNEE SHALL BEND TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE CONFESS TO GOD. Now turn to Philippians 2:10,11 (FF) Therefore God highly exalted Him, and freely gave Him the Name surpassing every name; so that in presence of the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of celestials, and terrestrials, and sub terrenes, and every tongue confess that the Messiah, the Lord Jesus, exists for a rectification from God.

Here is the double witness and the knowledge that God is in control of this world and all who inhabit this world. Always remember that Psalms 91 is at your fingertips (The Christian Insurance Policy) to read about when facing danger or times of peril. Doom and Gloom in these times, Yes, Hope, most definitely when facing doom and gloom in reading and believing in Psalm 91.

Before we start, a bit of humor—A lady friend of mine said she was mailing the old family Bible to her brother out west. As she handed the package to the mail clerk, He asked, “Anything breakable in this package?” ‘Only the Ten Commandments’, answered my friend.

Here’s a spin on the glass that is half empty or half full—There are two kinds of people in this world—Those who wake up in the morning and say, “Good Morning, Lord’ and those who wake up in the morning and say, ‘Good Lord, it’s morning’.

Part 3 of the Sixth Commandment—Let’s tackle abortion—Here, in the USA, this is a battleground issue between our elected in Congress, the Senate, Supreme Court, and other governing officials.

Is Abortion Murder? Is Abortion right under certain circumstances? Does a woman have the right to abort a fetus? I wish to utilize Wikipedia and the USA for the definition of abortion: Abortion is among the most controversial and divisive issues in the society, culture and politics of the United States. Various anti-abortion laws have been in force in each state since at least 1900.

Before the U.S. Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade decriminalized abortion nationwide in 1973, abortion was already legal in several states, but the decision imposed a uniform framework for state legislation on the subject. It established a minimal period during which abortion is legal (with more or fewer restrictions throughout the pregnancy). That basic framework, modified in Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992), remains nominally in place, although the effective availability of abortion varies significantly from state to state, as many counties have no abortion providers.[1] Planned Parenthood v. Casey held that a law cannot place legal restrictions imposing an undue burden for “the purpose or effect of placing a substantial obstacle in the path of a woman seeking an abortion of a nonviable fetus.”[2]

The main actors in the abortion debate are most often labeled either as “pro-choice” or “pro-life“, though shades of opinion exist, and most Americans are considered to be somewhere in the middle.[3] A 2018 Gallup survey found the percentages that were pro-choice or pro-life were equal (at 48%), but more people considered abortion morally wrong (48%) than morally acceptable (43%). The poll results also indicated that Americans harbor a diverse and shifting set of opinions on the legal status of abortion. The survey found that only 29% of respondents believed abortion should be legal in all circumstances, and 50% of respondents believed that abortion should be legal under certain circumstances.[4]Recent polling results also found that only 34% of Americans were satisfied with abortion laws.[5]

Under Wikipedia, there is many references to the history of other countries for our reference and what their laws say about abortion. Let’s go back and “peel the layers of the onion off” and get to the root of the question: Who created man and woman? God did—And God gave the woman to reproduce or multiply and have children. Turn with me to Genesis 4:1 (NIV) Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man. Eve had help from the Lord and brought forth a man.

All births must begin somewhere and by someone and the Lord had his hand with Eve—Look at Isaiah 45:18 (NIV) For this is what the Lord says—he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited.

It is my wish to establish that God is the creator of all—He gives us life and death—He knew us before we were born—So, who are we to challenge God on the issue of abortion?

Is it true that a woman makes the statement that it is her body and her right to decide? Let’s examine the following: 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NIV) Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.

All through the New Testament, Jesus established that he was the Temple such as in John 2:19-22, Matthew 26:61, Matthew 27:40 and Mark 14:58.  Each of us is God’s temple, made in his likeness and created by God to be fruitful and increase in number.  God says that we are to increase and not decrease in number as shown in Genesis 1:28.

In the last couple of lessons, we referred to the word murder–According to Wikipedia, here is definition of murder: Murder is the unlawful killing of another human without justification or valid excuse, especially the unlawful killing of another human with malice aforethought.[1][2][3] This state of mind may, depending upon the jurisdiction, distinguish murder from other forms of unlawful homicide, such as manslaughter. Manslaughter is a killing committed in the absence of malice, brought about by reasonable provocation, or diminished capacityInvoluntary manslaughter, where it is recognized, is a killing that lacks all but the most attenuated guilty intent, recklessness.

Most societies consider murder to be an extremely serious crime, and thus believe that the person charged should receive harsh punishments for the purposes of retributiondeterrencerehabilitation, or incapacitation. In most countries, a person convicted of murder generally faces a long-term prison sentence, possibly a life sentence; and in a few, the death penalty may be imposed.[4]

The word murder is found 9 times in the Bible, murderer is found 20 times, murderers found 11 times and murders found 4 times.

What valid excuse for killing an unborn child can a woman provide to God? When you stand before Jesus, what will be your excuse? What justification will you provide for taking that life?

My body means it’s my choice or It’s my body is another phrase used by those who are in favor of abortion. As I read articles on the internet concerning the last two phrases, I noticed nothing said about God. In one article, this gentleman said that in no means should a man, government officials or anyone for that matter be able to decide what is acceptable to do with my own individual body, EVER. WOW! I wonder if he put God in any of these categories? And, by the way, EVER is a long time.

Let’s stop there so I can put together more on this issue in the next lesson.

May God Bless You and Keep you safe in these times.

My name is Jeff and I wish to share with you my thoughts on Understanding God’s Laws. I think you will agree that if we were under God’s laws and not those of man that our world would be ideal. God has addressed every issue in his laws with a solution that makes sense and could and should be used by all.
